Book Cover ~ Lolita

Lolita, Vladimir Nabokov, Second Vintage International Edition, 1997

Whether you love or hate this book, I think this cover summarises it perfectly. The elusiveness of desire – like the trace of a kiss at the corner of someone’s lips – but also of  Truth, of feelings, of words.

    Have you read this book?

    • I have. It’s terrifying but also beautifully written and crafted. My feeling is that were he writing about a woman his age, it would be one of the most beautiful love stories of the century. I mean, in a strange way, it already kind of is despite the horror of the plot.
Have you read it? If not, I highly recommend you do. I think it’s one of those books you should have a look at yourself to make your own opinion about it.
